We are all excited to be back at school today.
We have 3 new children in our room. We are really excited to have Manu, Christian and Ngahuia with us.
We had a great time today in Kiwi Can learning about emotions.
This week in Room 18, we have been talking about what we would like to learn more about.
Mrs Wiersma is going to try and help us learn about these things too.
You can read our stories and listen to us tell you about what we want to learn about.
We have been working really hard in Room 18 to learn to write words correctly by ourselves. Each week we practice writing them in a list to see how many we know now.
Dream was our winner this week with 12 words!
Some children have just started school and don't know many yet, but they will soon. Parents can help at home by helping us practice.
Have a look through our photos to see how many we can write this week.
We have learnt that ANZAC day is an important time to remember the soldiers.
Today we had an ANZAC ceremony at school.
We made poppies to wear at the ceremony.
We sat in the hall with all the parents and grandparents. We listened to people talk about how war is bad and makes people feel sad. We sang some songs.
Tomorrow is ANZAC day. Some people will go to a parade to remember the soldiers.
